EscEscape by Cheapflights – Where will you escape to?

Have you ever found yourself sitting at your desk, swamped with work, wishing to escape on a city break at the end of the week? Maybe you’re dreaming of enjoying a gelato in Rome, or of relaxing on the beach from a Greek island, or of skiing in the French Alps, or of partying till morning in Majorca, or of exploring the canals of Amsterdam, or maybe even of hiking the fjords of Norway. I know I did, many times. To be honest though, sometimes I simply don’t have the time to search and play with the dates until I find the best flights.

What if I’d tell you that if you are using Chrome browser you are only two-taps away from the cheapest, the quickest and the smartest weekend getaway, selected from the upcoming eight weeks? And that it’s free?

Cheapflights has launched the EscEscape free browser extension for Google Chrome, an app that lets you find the perfect flights for your weekend away just by tapping the “Esc” key on your keyboard twice. By installing it not only that you will be able to find the best priced tickets but you can also win a pair of return flights for you and a friend.

The EscEscape (pronounced Escape Escape) extension has been launched in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zeeland and it takes seconds to install. When you double tap the Esc key a new tab will open and you will be shown the best weekend flights from your nearest airport to the cheapest five different destinations. For the UK, US and Canada only flights within a five-hour flight time are selected while for Australia and New Zeeland the time goes up to 8 hours (so that popular destinations like Fiji are included as well).

Let’s see how it works:

First, I installed the extension on my Chrome browser by clicking here.

Second, I entered the competition to win a pair of flights for me and a friend.

Third, I double tapped the Esc key and I received a very cool suggestion for where to spend my big 3-0 birthday (which is on the 16th of June and for which I didn’t book a flight yet). The app even tells me that if I change the airport to a nearby one I can save more than half the price!

What destination did you get?
