For me there are always two types of gifts that are always winners when it comes to holidays or birthdays: experiences and food! Whilst plane tickets or holidays might not be in your budget this year, a foodie hamper is always a great alternative for someone who loves traveling. In fact, how many people do you know who bring back cheese, salami or local delicacies back as souvenirs from their trips? I know I am one of them! I’ve even been congratulated once by an Italian border officer for my choice of pesto that I had in my hand luggage.
About Prestige Hampers
When Prestige Hampers contacted me and asked me to review one of their Christmas collection hampers I said yes straight away. I have been gifting foodie hampers for a while now and I like that you can find something for every kind of personality. One of the most recent ones that I bought included some really nice small batch craft beers, that made a beer lover friend very happy.

What’s inside the Christmas Delight hamper?
You can see that there was a lot of thought going into designing this hamper, from the beautiful festive box, which to the selection of products inside it. All the items in the box have beautiful red and white packages, the colours of winter holidays!
Little Box of Happy
This was the first item I found in the box and also the first one that got eaten almost straight away. Inside this “Little box of happy” there are chocolate covered marshmallows, fluffy and sweet, once you taste one you can’t really stop until you finish the box. And then want some more! ?
Shortbread House Dark Chocolate and Orange
The House of Edinburgh Shortbread biscuits are special because they are all made by hand. Shortbread biscuits are always delicious, especially when you have them with a cup of tea. But when they are flavoured with dark chocolate and orange, they bring Christmas into our homes just as we open the package. For me, Christmas means tastes and aromas of orange, apples and cinnamon. How about for you?
Oatcakes are typical Scottish flat biscuits that are a great accompaniment for cheese boards. The texture of the oatcakes is crumbly, but they do taste a bit buttery. They are excellent with cheese, honey, chutney, or simply on their own.
Biscuit Santa Sack Chocolate Chip and Orange Biscuits
Not only that these biscuits have a gorgeous packaging, but they taste very good too. I had them in the morning, together with my cup of coffee, and they made an excellent sweet breakfast. They are crunchy and sweet, with noticeable hints of orange. These are the perfect biscuits to leave for Santa, with a cup of milk, next to the Christmas tree.
Yumptious Bar of Awesomeness
Don’t you love the name of this chocolate bar? Not only that the branding is brilliant, but the product is very good as well. Under this red, bold, wrapping paper you will find the softest Belgian milk chocolate that literally melts in your mouth. Yummmm!
Louis Felipe Edwards Merlot
I love wines from Louis Felipe Edwards. I discovered the brand a while ago and fell in love with their Chardonnay – Family Selection. Then I tried their Malbec and I was impressed as well. What I love about these wines is that they are not only high quality, but they also come at an accessible price and you can find them easily, in Asda.
I was very happy to see that my luxury Christmas hamper included a bottle of Merlot from Louis Felipe Edwards. I have not tried their Merlot before so I am looking forward to see how it tastes.
Mr Filberts Marinated Olives with Chilli and Black Pepper Pouch
I can only imagine how delicious these olives were, as they “disappeared” by the time I returned from my most recent trip. I did get feedback on them though, that they were delicious and the “muncher” will definitely want to buy them again.
New English Tea Selection
I love this vintage collection of Traditional English Teas, with the packaging inspired by Britain’s heritage. The box contains 10 individually wrapped Breakfast Tea bags, with a blend of Assam and Nilgiri teas, originating from India. I didn’t open it yet but I can smell the aroma of the tea through the plastic wrapping.
Eton Mess Valley Chocolate Bar
Eton Mess is one of my favourite desserts and I was very excited to find it crafted into a bar of chocolate. I love the crunchiness of the merengue, softness of the cream, balanced by the freshness of the strawberry. Combined with white chocolate and created by a local Yorkshire brand, this bar has all the reasons to make you happy with each bite you take.
