It has been four years since I moved into my current home yet I still have to decorate most of the walls in the house. I decorated the bedroom a while ago with images of humanised animals, which look brilliant, but the rest of the house is pretty soulless. I always said that I would get to it, that I would like to display some of my travel memories around my home, but I never really found the time for it. So, when MyPicture asked me if I wanted to review some of their products, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to give some personality to my bare walls.
I had the freedom to choose any product I wanted from the website for the purpose of this review. I settled on decorating the staircase wall and the landing, for which I chose three distinct prints that I believed would complement the space beautifully.

MYPICTURE.co.uk is a photo and printing service that brings your memories to life, from your phone to a canvas or in an album on your coffee table. Their services extend to printing on pretty much everything, from mugs to fabrics, from cushions to puzzles, from calendars to all sorts of gifts.
For the purpose of this review, I chose different items (a photo calendar, Canvas prints, and a city map) which I customised using my own photos. If you want to try the service as well, after reading my review, you can use my discount code for x% off.
The Creation Process
Upon signing up for an account on the Mypicture website, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an immediate £10 discount offer. Nice! I decided I wanted to order a calendar and a city map print, to always have a reminder of one of my most recent dream trips, to Nova Scotia. Before checking out, I was offered a complimentary canvas, which I just had to add to my order.
Beginning with the calendar, I found the creative editor incredibly user-friendly. There are a few templates available, or you can create your own from scratch. I chose an already-made template, which I customised to my liking. There are so many options that even if you are editing a template, you can make it unique. I decided that my calendar would highlight my year of travel. This way, every time I would check the date, I would be reminded of some great memories. As last year I pretty much travelled every month, it was easy to choose a meaningful photo for each page. Initially, I chose a vintage background, but later on, I decided that it was too contrasting, so I changed it to black and white. I did it after the entire design was ready, and it was so easy to just go back and change it.
Besides the photos, the calendar template was very easy to customise with different frames and even clip art.
Creating the city map was similarly straightforward. The editor automatically pinpointed the location, allowing me to refine the display on the screen. I had several options for showcasing the map, and I went for the most minimalistic one.
As for the photo canvas, the process was as simple as uploading the desired image, specifying dimensions, and choosing a frame style.
Ordering and Processing
The order checkout is very easy, with plenty of methods of payment accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, and even Amazon Pay.
After I placed the order, I received confirmation that the production would begin soon, together with a generous 75% off voucher for my next purchase. The first package was shipped three days later, whilst the second one seven days later.
I was informed through emails and text about each step the order went through, from completion to shipping. I also received a text on the day of delivery, informing me when the parcels would arrive.
The Delivery
It took approximately 2 weeks from the moment I placed my order for the prints to be shipped. I received my order in two different deliveries, one week apart. They both came from Germany and were carefully packed, arriving in pristine condition. The first delivery contained the calendar, securely enclosed within sturdy cardboard packaging to prevent any bending during transit. I wasn’t home to receive this delivery, and the courier left it in a safe place, protected from the rain.
The second delivery included the framed canvas and the Halifax city map. The canvas was wrapped in a protective sleeve, whilst the map came rolled, in its own box. I also found a handwritten note tucked inside the box, which I found to be such a thoughtful and personal touch.
The Prints
Calendar
The calendar has truly brought my own photos to life. As soon as I unpacked and touched it I could feel the high-quality photographic paper on each page. A year of travels, not just in 2023, but also in 2024, which will surely transpire into another calendar in 2025.
The last time I printed my own photos was probably over 15 years ago when I still had an analogue camera. Page by page, this photo calendar reminded me of that exciting moment of seeing the prints for the first time. The colours are bright and so vibrant!
Canvas
Recently I started a travel group with my friends and I thought the best photo to choose for the canvas was from our first trip together, to the Christmas markets in Vienna. I chose the first group photo we took together, in front of the Stephan’s Dome Christmas Market in Vienna, enjoying our first mug of mulled wine.
Even if this is a photo that has been taken with a phone, the quality of the canvas is so good! The colours are vibrant and true to life, with the print being light and bright. I love the framing, which leaves a space between the canvas and the frame. I chose a brown frame, which I think is so elegant and fits perfectly with the general colour palette of the photo. It was very easy to hand the canvas on the wall, without any extra fixtures.
City Map
I’ve been dreaming about travelling to Nova Scotia for years and, last year, I made this dream come true. I remember the moment I got off the plane and saw the cheerful “Welcome to Halifax” sign at the airport – I knew the trip was going to be as special as I imagined it to be. And it was, so much that I will be returning this year for a longer time. When I saw the personalised city map on the MyPicture website I thought it was such a great way to remember my happy trip over and over. So I ordered it, in an A3 size. The quality of the print is so high, with shiny paper and perfect black and white details on the map.
