Wow this Caminito Del Rey looks like the perfect day trip from Seville. I’ve never heard of it until now and I’m heading there soon on a work conference with a few days to spare. I’m glad that they provide the safety equipment and hand rails, the first pictures looked stunning and adrenaline inducing. It looks and sounds like the views from the cliffside are really varied between the gorge, river and other mountains. It’s great to imagine how the workers would have used this route every day.

  2. Umiko says:

What beautiful sights to have during a hike! But I think I will skip it because I can’t handle heights for a long time. If hiking along the cliffs only for several meters, I can handle it. But this one looks really long! Or if they build the hiking platform wider. Just imagine an 8-year-old walking at the edge of the cliff is already making my legs shaky. Hehe..

  3. Jan says:

I would love to do this hike! I have visited Andalucia and totally missed it not even knowing about Caminito del rey hike. It would be challenging to do this hike walking along the suspended bridges and getting the awesome views from high above. Narrow cliffside pathways look more challenging with the need to not lose your balance and keep the fear of heights at bay! Thanks for your tips to reach early or late in the afternoon and wear sturdy shoes. Saving your blog post for future reference. 🙂
